About me
Kat is an organisational psychologist, author, and leadership partner at ByMany who has spent her career asking one big question: what makes work good for us?
She has worked with leaders across industries - from mining sites in the Andes, to universities in Saudi Arabia, to hospital wards in Melbourne and boardrooms in Sydney - helping them design work that protects people, fuels wellbeing, and unlocks performance. Her clients include some of the world’s largest companies, public institutions, and health systems, and her research has been cited internationally.
Kat works at the intersection of leadership, culture, and mental health - helping teams and organisations turn insight into action and create workplaces where people can thrive.
Her forthcoming book, Good Work: Transforming Your Work from the Inside Out (Wiley, 2026), challenges the idea that work is inherently harmful. Drawing on science, stories, and practical tools, it shows how leaders and teams can design work that’s both human and high-performing.
Kat is known for her mix of evidence and empathy - blending rigour with a touch of irreverence - and for making complex ideas simple, actionable, and deeply human. She’s an Adjunct Professor, a trusted advisor to boards and executives, and a sought-after speaker on the future of work, leadership, and wellbeing.
When she’s not writing or facilitating, you’ll find her in Melbourne with her husband Luke and their two young children, drinking too much coffee and occasionally reorganising her kitchen cupboards as a form of stress management.
